7.00     Discussion and questions prior to voting on the following Special Resolutions:

    1. As at 1st October, 2018, CCCI joins with RCCI to form Maroondah Business Group (“MBG”);
    2. All current fully paid members of CCCI will transfer their membership to MBG and all life members of CCCI will have full rights of membership of MBG on the same terms as CCCI;
    3. The Executive Committee and life members will remain as members of CCCI, comply with the Rule.  Membership fee for the year  2019 will be $1.00;
    4. An amount of money, to be determined by the executive sum will be transferred to MBG to be disbursed as the Executive Committee of MBG deems fit.

As a Member of good standing with CCCI, you have the right to put a special motion to the meeting.    Should you wish to propose a special motion, 7 days notice of the motion must be received in advance by the Secretary via any of the addresses detailed below.

It’s a Start – but we need YOUR involvement.

Tuesday Night was a significant milestone for the Ringwood and Croydon Chambers of Commerce as they came together as one, to host the inaugural networking event of The Maroondah Business Group. This has been four years in the making and has a fantastic foundation of relational trust that will see the growth of this group into the future.

Hosted by the fabulous new Sage Hotel, who have partnered with the groups as sponsor of venue, food and drinks on arrival, there was never any doubt this event would be a huge success.  Check out our gallery for some photos taken by Linda Willmott during the night.

Fifty businesses showed their support and heard local legend and business owner Dale White of The Cellar Door, The Public Brewery, Bekindales Cafe in Croydon and other ventures speak on his journey in business. He stressed the importance of successful partnerships and highlighted the importance the role his wife and business partner Bec has played in their success. He was passionate, real and provided great advice to anyone in business.

We thank Dale for his honesty and encourage anyone to visit one of his businesses and see why he is winning awards locally and statewide.

Attendees liked the format and we now look to finding more great local businesses to tell their stories.

We live in a great city and we appreciate the support the Maroondah City council provide as we now look to collaborate on future events.

Dale and Bek White opened the doors of The Public Brewery in 2013. With a successful café in Bekendales they had a loyal clientele and an opportunity to try something different. Dale is a charismatic entrepreneur, who is not only focussed on his own success but to giving back to the community through many altruistic pursuits.


NOTE:       Parking for the event can be found anywhere under Eastland but preferably enter via Entrance 6 (off Warrandyte Road) and park adjacent to the Valet area and proceed to the Sage Hotel Lobby in the south-east corner of the carpark.  From there take the lift to the Partake Restaurant on Level 5.
